Tips 4 Java Development On Debian

Introduction

This wiki will provide tips and other information about developing Java software on the Debian operating system. Java doesn't work as well on Debian as it does on some other Linux operating systems, at least after an "out-of-the-box" install. I struggled with setting up my Java development environment on Debian and wanted help other newcomers that want to use Debian for Java development. (Debian is a great operating system and my only problem with it has been the hassles getting my Java development environment up and running.) I hope that this wiki will become a central location to find information about developing Java software on Debian. I will continue to add content to it as I learn more, and make more mistakes. :]
